Steps Toward Communism

People, please call your senators and tell them to vote AGAINST the Kennedy Bill. Ed Kennedy is pushing a bill that would devestate businesses, kill jobs, and cause healthcare to skyrocket.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Employers would be required to offer health care to employees or pay a penalty - and all Americans would be guaranteed health insurance - under a draft bill circulated Friday by Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s health committee.
Freedom is dying under Obama and the current congress. It’s no longer “Big Brother”, it’s “Big Mother”… Kennedy (and no doubt Obama will support this) to kill jobs in America. The fact is that if all employers are forced to provide healthcare for all their employees, then employees will be fired so employers can afford to pay for healthcare on employees. Employers will be forced to get small group health plans which are way more expensive than individual health insurance plans. For example, a newborn on a small group health insurance plan will cost around $300 per month. Yet, if the parents of that child get individual health insurance for the newborn it will only cost them about $60 per month. A family of four healthplan with two 28 year old adults and two children under five will cost over $500 per month on a small group healthplan. The same family plan on a individual plan will only cost about $250 per month.
Insurers would be supposed to offer a basic level of care and would be required to cover all comers, without turning people away because of pre-existing conditions or other reasons.
They are completely ignorant because this will drive up premiums faster than 9/11 and HIV. This shows that they either have not studied the facts or they have no clue in how to analyze the facts, unless they are trying to destroy the country. Someone with a pre-existing condition such as HIV would cost the insurance company over one million dollars, the money is not going to appear out of thin air for the insurance company… this alone will drive up private insurance for everyone to the point that no one can afford it. Then everyone will be on government healthcare and you’ll be stuck with a bureaucrat telling you if you will get that life saving treatment you need or not.
Insurance companies’ profits would be limited, and private companies would have to compete with a new public “affordable access” plan that would for the first time offer government-sponsored health care to Americans not eligible for Medicare, Medicaid or other programs.
The steps the government is currently making are small steps toward communism.
